But look a little closer at the story, and you'll notice something interesting: the women of Mirzapur have been quietly changing the game from behind the scenes—and sometimes right in the middle of it.

From Beena Tripathi's calculated moves to Golu Gupta's transformation into a force to be reckoned with, the women of Mirzapur have never been there simply to fill the background.

Some made choices that changed relationships. Some triggered revenge. Some challenged the men around them. And some learned how to survive in a world where power usually belonged to someone else.

Beena Tripathi: The Woman Who Knows How to Play the Game

If there is one word that describes Beena Tripathi, it has to be strategic. She plays the members of the Tripathi family like the pawns in a game of chess.

Played by Rasika Dugal, Beena lives inside one of the most powerful and dangerous families in Mirzapur. But she isn't simply Kaleen Bhaiya's wife standing quietly in the background.

Beena understands the power dynamics inside the Tripathi household—and more importantly, she knows how to use them.

Her character becomes particularly important as she tries to protect herself and for those people who have watched Mirzapur - The Movie, they know that Beena is the one who makes it possible for the enemies to get Tripathi Ji out of Mirzapur because apparently, the King of Mirzapur can only be killed outside of Mirzapur.

Golu Gupta: From College Topper to Mirzapur Power Player

Now comes Gajgamini “Golu” Gupta, played by Shweta Tripathi Sharma.

And honestly, Golu's transformation is one of the most fascinating character journeys in the franchise.

When we first meet her, Golu isn't exactly the person you'd expect to become a major player in Mirzapur's power struggle. She is intelligent, academically successful and initially far removed from the criminal world. She is a follower of non-violence and also always advises Bablu to do the same.

Then everything changes.

The death of her sister Sweety and Bablu in the series pushes Golu into a completely different life. She becomes a lady of her own ambitions and ideologies.

Sweety Gupta: The Choice That Set Everything in Motion

Before Golu picked up a gun, there was Sweety Gupta.

Played by Shriya Pilgaonkar, Sweety was one of the early characters who showed that the women of Mirzapur weren't simply going to accept whatever the powerful men around them wanted.

Munna is obsessed with Sweety, but she doesn't return his feelings. Instead, she chooses Guddu, eventually marrying him. That relationship becomes one of the key emotional triggers behind the Guddu-Munna rivalry.

Sweety's importance goes far beyond her romantic relationship with Guddu. Her death becomes one of the biggest turning points in the franchise. She is the one who ignites the transformation of the key players of Mirzapur - Guddu and Munna Bhaiya.

Vasudha Pandit: The Mother Who Understands Power

Sheeba Chaddha's Vasudha Pandit is another fascinating addition to the Mirzapur universe. At first glance, she can appear like a conventional mother trying to manage her family.

But Vasudha understands something very clearly: power matters in Mirzapur. She is the one who actually uses the power that Guddu Bhaiya brings to family by becoming a part of the Mirzapur universe. For the people who have matched.  

Her character isn't afraid of the influence that comes with being connected to powerful people, and her attitude toward her sons' world reveals another side of the Pandit family. Vasudha helps show that the appetite for power isn't limited to the men.

Her character adds complexity to Guddu's family and demonstrates how ambition can exist even within seemingly ordinary family relationships.

Zareena: The Woman Who Knows How to Survive the Power Game

Zareena, played by Anangsha Biswas, is one of those characters who may not always be at the centre of the action, but she understands the world of Mirzapur better than most. Zareeena is the one who knows the secrets of all in powe and sometimes the one who knows the secrets is the one who is the key to the throne. She has proved that in Mizapur the Movie.

She has yet again proved that ladies need to be treated with respect or they will claim it.

Working closely with Sharad Shukla, Zareena operates in an environment where loyalty, money and power constantly shift. She isn't simply a character caught in the middle of the chaos, she helps in creating it

Mumtaz Bibi: A Small Role With a Big Impact

Mumtaz Bibi, portrayed by Sonal Chauhan within the Mirzapur universe. She has been treated as a beauty with courage in the Mirzapur movie multiverse and becomes eventually the reason of immense anger for the villain, Babban. She is a lady with courage as she picks her gun to save her beloved.

Her character reminds viewers that the violence and power struggles in Mirzapur don't only affect the people sitting at the top. They affect everyone around them.

Dimpy Pandit: The Quiet Strength Behind the Pandit Family

Dimpy Pandit, played by Harshita Gaur, may not be the first name that comes to mind when you think about the powerful women of Mirzapur, but her character plays an important role in showing the emotional side of the story.

As Guddu and Bablu Pandit's sister, Dimpy is initially far removed from the criminal world surrounding her brothers. She represents a more ordinary side of the Pandit family—a young woman trying to live her own life while her family becomes increasingly trapped in Mirzapur's violent power struggle. 

She quietly supports her father when both the brothers start their journey in the illegal world of Mirzapur and becomes the support of the family.
